CDC finally taking ME/CFS seriously?
According to some internet rumors today the CDC has finally effectively replaced Dr. Reeves of the CDC by passing their XMRV research to the division of HIV/AIDS prevention. This would lead us to believe that the CDC are finally taking ME/CFS seriously and hopefully some real research will now take place. They will first be replicating the Whittemore-Peterson Institutes findings and then look into getting standardized FDA approved laboratory tests, determine how many of the general population are affected and how its transmitted.
If true this will be major news for all ME/CFS patients, but it has yet to be officially confirmed so as soon as we hear anything further we will pass on the news.
