Swedish Researchers undertaking XMRV Replication Study
Prof Jonas Blomberg (head of The Research Group of Clinical Virology at the University of Uppsala) and Prof Carl-Gerhard Gottfries (founder of the Gottfries Clinic which was formed in Västra Götaland 1998) are undertaking a XMRV Replication Study to detarmine if similar results are found to those by the Peterson Whittemore Institute in the US.
The study will consit of 20 Fukuda-defined ME/CFS, 20 fibromyalgia, 20 irritable bowel, and 20 controls blood samples. In addition, they will prospectively test samples from 120 ME/CFS.
